JLabs comes through again March 12, 2010 Brian Norton (Placentia, CA) The J2 buds are very solid in basically every category that i can think of. They make sense from an economics standpoints (starving Berkeley student). The sounds is really good except for some hollowness in the sound that accompanies the classical music that i study to.
Awesome product for its value March 12, 2010 Andrey Kurilyak (Vancouver, Canada) Haven`t had a chance to brake them in yet. But otherwise pretty good product for its value.
Just stopped working March 12, 2010 amazona I never leave reviews but felt compelled to do so in regards to this item. The earbuds were great for about 3 months then they just stopped working properly. Now I only get audio if the cord is tilted at a certain angle. I really only use them for when I go jogging so they don't have any serious wear and tear to speak of. Very disappointed. 3 freaking months?
They're good March 11, 2010 Ashley M. Elliott (ETNA, CA, US) These are great! Especially for the low price they have! They are comfortable and work great when going on a jog or any exercise for that matter. I would buy again if given the chance.
Using My Broken Sennheiser CX300's Instead March 11, 2010 Adam Zook (chicago, il) I have gone through 2 pairs of Sennheiser CX300's, and don't love how the cord on them has "memory" and stays curled up, so I thought I'd give these JBuds a try. I knew they were only $15, so I gave them some leniency. I don't know what's wrong with my ears, b/c no one else seems to have this problem, but I tried all 3 rubber gaskets and none did anything at all to seal off sound. When I put in my Sennheisers, it's like wearing earplugs (I sleep with them sometimes even with the sound off to use them as earplugs). For some reason with the JBuds, I get absolutely no seal, and believe me, I tried. Second, the sound is flat, has no depth, the highs are muffled, I can't hear low frequency sounds at all. I thought I was imagining it and put my Sennheisers back in, and back came the low bass and better balance of mids and highs.
The other reviews seem to indicate that these sound similar to the CX300's, but to me it's like night and day. I would pay 4x as much for the CX300's if I had to...but I don't.
